Enseñanza Especial
The Special Education Center of Pérez Zeledón is a school that offers tailored education and support for children with disabilities to meet their unique learning needs.
The Juggling as a Ludic-Pedagogical Proposal for Children with Disabilities at the Special Education Center of Pérez Zeledón project aims to integrate an interdisciplinary process between playful pedagogy, functional juggling, and therapy.
The project underwent several stages, starting with training circus instructors and volunteers from Fantazztico Circus through a 6-hour workshop with Hernán Granados, an occupational therapist and Costa Rica's ambassador for Quat Props (a project dedicated to developing and sharing functional juggling worldwide).
Overall, the project progressed well, fostering a new partnership between Fantazztico Circus and the Special Education School. This was achieved through collaboration with Circo del Tercer Mundo, with whom we jointly developed this project, involving three circus instructors and four volunteers from Fantazztico Circus.
